Move-In Cleaning That Scrubs Out Every Trace of the Last Tenant

When someone moves in, they don’t want to feel like anyone was there before. It has to feel brand new. That means walls get wiped down, baseboards are cleaned, crown moldings are scrubbed, and we get into all the corners. We remove mold. We don’t leave behind old debris. You should be able to open a pantry or a cabinet without feeling gross. No grease. No grime. That includes things like wiping the inside of cabinets and making sure every shelf is clean. Even the air has to feel right. Not masked with air freshener, but neutral. Clients walk in and say, “It smells clean, but not chemical.” That’s the goal.

Move-Out vs. Move-In: What Changes?

Move-ins and move-outs aren’t the same. Move-outs are more customizable. Some people just want the basics to get their deposit back. With move-ins, that doesn’t fly. Clients want everything done. Walls. Baseboards. Crown moldings. Door knobs. Light switches. Even vents. Everything needs to be cleaned. People don’t want to move into someone else’s grime. They’ll ask us to check behind fridges. Inside light fixtures. We expect that. It’s not just about what you see, it’s about knowing everything is fresh. We’ve heard it so many times: “At first it looked clean, but I turned on the bathroom fan or opened a closet and it was disgusting.” That’s why we go where others don’t.

  • Inside drawers and cabinets — especially the ones above the fridge where grime collects

  • Bathroom fans, exhausts, and closet corners where dust hides

It’s not about surface-level shine. It’s about giving the new homeowner peace of mind that everything, even the stuff you don’t see, is clean and truly move-in ready.

New Builds vs. Older Homes

Cleaning new homes is different. The problem usually isn’t grease, it’s construction dust. That fine, white powder gets everywhere. On windowsills, baseboards, inside light fixtures, and even in the corners of closets. You have to slow down. You can’t rush it. It’s white glove level work. Even if the home is brand new, we still find:

  • Debris in corners
  • Sticker residue on appliances
  • Dust all over the baseboards.
Older homes? That’s a different mess. It’s all:
  • Grease
  • Grime
  • Dust that’s been sitting for years.
We saw a lot of that during the Palisade fires. People just wanted to move back in, but their kitchens had grease that hadn’t been touched in ten years. It wasn’t from the fire, it was just years of buildup that had never been cleaned. That’s what we were walking into. Layered grease, dust in places people hadn’t looked at in years, homes that needed more than just a wipe down. They needed a full reset.

Cleaning Options That Fit the Home

We bring three types of products based on the client and the situation:

Biodegradable: vinegar, water, soap, and peroxy, for clients who are sensitive, coming back from chemo, or just want a super natural clean.

Eco-green / Botanical: tea tree oil, citrus-based, all essential oils. This is what we usually use. It’s perfect for homes with pets or kids.

Commercial-grade products: bleach, Clorox, heavy-duty porcelain cleaners, only use these if a client asks.

No upcharge. No different pricing. We just want people to have what they need. The botanical cleaner is our go-to. It’s been lab-tested, safe for hands, and we trust it. If I’m scrubbing with it all day, my eczema doesn’t flare, that’s how we know it’s solid.

And when someone asks if it’s safe for their baby or their dog, we can say yes without hesitating. Whether it’s your first home or a fresh start, your move-in cleaning shouldn’t leave you worried about the products being used. You deserve a clean that’s thoughtful from start to finish.

The Satisfaction Is in the Before and After

What makes this work worth it is the moment when the house feels different. Not just looks different, feels better. Like the energy shifted. We’ve walked into homes that felt off, not dirty, just… stale. The air, the smell, the vibe. You could tell it hadn’t been touched in a while. After a real move-in cleaning, the whole place feels reset. One client walked in and said, “It smells clean, but not chemical.” That’s the kind of clean we aim for. It’s not about bleach. It’s not about masking. It’s about actually removing the grime, the buildup, the bacteria, so it smells like nothing. Like a clean slate. A job that clears out more than just dust, it clears the energy too. That’s what we deliver. Every time.

Where We Serve Move-In Cleaning Across Ventura County

We serve all of Ventura County, including Camarillo, Ventura, and Ojai — but every move-in has its own rhythm.

  • Camarillo has fast turnover — students, relocations, military families. People just want to settle in without dealing with someone else’s mess.

  • Ventura has a mix of new builds and older homes. Some need dust removal after construction. Others need deeper cleaning to cut through years of buildup.

  • Ojai clients are often more specific. Botanical products. Sensitive systems. They care what’s used, and so do we.

Wherever we’re called, we show up with the same standard: Move-in cleaning that’s detailed, respectful, and reset-ready.
